Not gonna lie nintendo's conference was one of the worst i've seen for a while (almost as bad as their 2008 conference) The only thing that really excited me was super mario maker, starfox didn't look that great, the zelda 3ds game looked decent but still lacked something for me. Metroid looks like it's already angered everyone (because its not what we expected) and while the overall feel of the presentation was good, the actual content was pretty poor.

Square Enix's conference was pretty good, KH3 announcement was obviously a big one, Hitman looked good as did Deus Ex (Although they stated that the big enemy is the illuminati, why?) They had some other solid games as well, (Just Cause 3, Rise of the Tomb raider & of course the FF7 remake) to be honest I'm surprised how many Square Enix games I'm liking.

Games on my radar at the moment:
Rise of the Tomb Raider - I have had a Tomb Raider background on my desktop ever since this was shown last E3 so yeah I'm stupid hype and waiting not so patiently.
Horizon Zero Dawn - I'm sad that this will most likely never see PC.
FF7 remake - oh
Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited - yeah I know Elder Scrolls Online but I really liked Skyrim and this one doesn't have a monthly subscription so idk we'll see
Mirror's Edge Catalyst - looks solid
Dark Souls 3 - I'm slightly masochistic

World of Final Fantasy is super adorable but it's probably PS4 exclusive so I won't be able to play it.

Kingdom Hearts no longer interests me. First and Second were awesome, and then they rolled with like four different storylines with their sequels and now imo the idea around the game years ago is completely different than projected with 3.

Nintendo, the king of retro, failing to succeed in the future of gaming. What else is new?

Nintendo at least did something right with splatoon. They should try new things more often.

I can only hope people get sick of these endless remakes soon.

I was impressed by the trailers of No Man's Sky. I was wondering how long it would take someone to do a Starbound-esque game in the super polished 3D first-person environment. Really looking forward to it, and I hope they don't disappoint.

nintendo didn't do shit this year except for the "world" championship and super mario maker hype

Man, I love Nintendo, I actually really like my WiiU...

But holy hell E3 was a disappointing disaster. The disastrous lack of WiiU content is not looking good, and they trolled so unbelievably hard with what looks like a completely trash 'metroid game' (As a old school metroid fan I died inside) and I burst out laughing when the animal crossing game turned out to be amibo party.

StarFox looks fun and I look forward to it, but they needed something else really badly.

I'm so so happy that there's gonna be a Dark Souls 3. I haven't looked at too much else aside from the new "Metroid" game.

yo saaaame...I just finished Dark Souls 2 yesterday so now I get to look forward to more torture

Still waiting on more Mario Kart 8 DLC.

But Mario Maker looks insane. I can't wait to get trolled by peoples' level designs.

Also, Arin came so close to winning the third elimination round in the Nintendo World Championships. He did pretty well overall, except in Mario Kart. I thought he'd be better at it. :P

Just got back from E3. Saw a lot of stuff and the only things that really stood out to me were Indie games lulz. Spent more time playing small company no-name titles than looking at the big stuff. To Leave and Earth Night are amazing games. Too bad they're both PS4 exclusives There was some other pixely dungeon crawler next to those two as well that looked really cool but I didn't feel like waiting for it.

Yoshi's Woolie World was pretty neat. It was really fucking annoying in some regards though. It's really similar to New Super Mario Bros. Wii U (jesus that's a long game title) in that you are constantly in each others way and will accidentally eat/throw your teammate all over the place all the time.

Other than that, only thing that grabbed my attention was the new Metal Gear. Watched the live demo and it has some crazy-ass gameplay mechanics that look really fun. Doesn't really feel like a Metal Gear game anymore though since it's all open world and sandbox-like. Probably wouldn't deter me from playing it though since it looked damn fun.

This was also the first time I ever got my hands on any VR gear. Got a chance to mess around with the oculus, Samsung's VR thingy where you put a phone in it. It was really cool except that it was impossible to get the focus right so all text was impossible to read without tilting my head really weird and everything was just generally blurry and hard to understand. I went up and down through the full spectrum of focus options and couldn't get it to look good so I'm pretty sure it wasn't just me. Needs work.

EDIT: omg how did I forget Dark Souls III (probably because it was just a statue with no gameplay or any information about the game whatsoever hurhur). It was a really sweet statue though. Every few seconds black water would should out of the dead guy with the sword in it. Blood I guess?
