So I've wanted to start playing minecraft with people again but since I didn't have anyone I know who had a server I didn't want to..
But apparently minecraft/mojang are now hosting their own servers for something like 15$ a month and I would really love to have people to play minecraft with again. It would be completely vanilla because as of right now they don't support mods but I would totally be willing to shell out the 15$ a month to play minecraft with people who are down to play. It can hold 20 players at once it said but since I don't remember many people being that active on FFR at minecraft I don't think that will matter.
tl;dr Wanna play vanilla minecraft with other FFRers and a couple of my IRL friends and would pay for it. Lemme know if you want in.
EDIT: Apparently I need your minecraft username to let you on so post it in here and i'll put it in the OP and add you to my server.

kbo irc has a vanilla server that leonid pays for (dirt cheap hosting which is why he keeps it up), but no one plays on it anymore. the server is still running version 1.6.2 LOL

there was a brief period of time last year where it was revived and we had something like 4–5 people playing (myself, my gf, ca25nada, and two of irl buddies) but that only lasted for a couple weeks before everyone lost interest. I miss the times when there were consistently a good number of peeps playing at any given time when the server was first created

I wouldn't mind playing again when I've got some downtime in the evening hours. Will have to get on updating everything though since it's been quite sometime since I last opened it zzz

ya i've just been browsing the minecraft subreddit and theres a bunch of new shit i don't know about so sounds real fun !! but the main reason i decided this is because if mojang themselves are hosting the servers then i really don't have to worry about shit for upkeep lol

alternatively, if you don't want to bother with the upkeep or shelling out the money every month if barely anyone plays, I could just bug leonid to upgrade the kbo server to the latest version. it'd be a nice way to revive the server that's already been around for a couple years and has a bunch of work put into it.

and leonid's lunch money/pocket change won't go to waste every month LOL
