When I was younger my parents would randomly grab me PC games, like at the check out at Menards or something. Well, this gem was completely unappreciated at the time but years later and I'm about to give it another shot.
I won't even try to tl;dr it though I will leave this here...
Rage of Mages was another cool pc game. Early Starcraft-ish game with mages and shit. Lots of fun when I was younger.
Netstorm : Islands at War might have been the best game they randomly snatched for me (sounds like they stole it haha). The game is now shareware, but I can't seem to get it to run on Windows 8. It was Starcraft with a twist - you had to place bridges on reach other islands, then you could build on them.
So anyways what games have you guys randomly come into contact with that ended up being totally awesome?
Sidenote - My dads company did work with Nintendo for a while trying to make an SNES game to be controlled with an exercise machine. Never came to fruition but he had an arcade cabinet in his office that has Super Mario World, Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts & R-Type 3 on it. That shit was wicked cool, dunno whatever happened to it. Might still be floating around the building somewhere...
