Its not a lot of content for $60 but it looks kinda cool. I'm waiting for a price drop and waiting to see if the online community lasts before touching it.
The maps are pretty huge and the maximum player count on a server is 12 (6v6). It fills it up a bit with NPC's that are beyond retarded, won't ever shoot at you unless you stand in ones face completely still for a few seconds. I played a couple of rounds that each took about 10-15 minutes each without actually finding real human opponents more than 2-3 times.
The mechs are the main selling point and they are boring as shit. The rounds are a race to rack up enough points to get your mech as fast as possible, because once you have it you're untouchable to anything but other mechs (there are rocket launchers that needs about 5-6 shots to kill a mech but mechs can just take cover if really needed and has regenerating shields). The points to spawn one can be attained by simply grinding NPC's.
The game modes that were in the beta were TDM and a shitty cap point mode with no real thought to it whatsoever. 3 points spread on the map, 6 players on each team meaning you can't really hold them and on public servers this meant just running between them recapping and killing someone if you actually run into them. Oh yeah and you pretty much spawn in random places once the game's begun so there's even less structure to it.
To say something positive it's pretty fun to run around kind of parkour the maps as you can wall run and jet pack etc.
I got the game the day it came out, and I love it. Let me explain.
The game itself has some very fun mechanics that I didn't expect to work well. For example, the 6V6 game mode is fairly standard, but when you add grunts into the mix, you're almost always shooting at something. The grunts themselves aren't much of a threat, unless you don't take care of them. They will kill you, but it's like playing with someone who's new to FPS games.
The running around in the game is awesome. The wall running and parkour is a lot of fun. Sometimes you can get annoyed with the way you run on a wall, or get stuck on a window, but overall, it's fun to run around.
The campaign mode is something like what Brink tried to do. There's a story and everything behind the game, and you play 6v6 game modes to fight for one side. It's nothing amazing, but it's quite fun when the teams aren't stacked.
Mechs. Very fun, and quite balanced. If you're in a mech, you're going to have to watch the other pilots. Although you're a huge tank that can do some devastating damage, pilots can easily take you down if you're not careful. If someone jumps on your mech and starts shooting, your best bet is to jump out, kill them, and go about your business.
Overall, the game is loads of fun. The 6v6 w/grunts is loads of fun, the atmosphere for the game is awesome, and the things you can do in it are actually pretty fun (to me anyway). This game isn't for everyone, but personally, I love it.

I absolutely love the game. A lot more fun than call of duty, and I've been playing that shit since four.
But does it blend?
Also, tried the beta at a friend's place when it was open, not my cup of tea. It's not bad but certainly has room to increase player cap per server (6v6 is too small imo...console 20v20 & PC 64v64 with the map size that it has at least, remove the derpy AI as well) but for what it has, $60 is not worth it. $15-25 is better off for what it has.
cod's opinion is definitely in the minority. I would buy it but I don't have money for it right now. Played the beta and loved it. 6v6 isn't too small...when you have titans running around anything more would be chaos. I think 6v6 is perfect imo.
