    The Stanley Parable

How do I even explain this game?
It's an adventure game about choices. Listen to the voice directing you to the door on the left or take the right one? You went right and went insane due to thinking you're walking in space. Take the left and you "spoil" the "ending" of the game while the voice berates you.

Sit in the broom closet long enough and get the "broom closet ending". Oh, if you found the "spoiler" your next adventure turns out different. Take too many detours and the game literally draws you The Stanley Parable Story Line to follow....now is that enough to get you to follow the voice?

Permutation, the game. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

    You're welcome<3

The Stanley Parable is an exploration of story, games, and choice. Except the story doesn't matter, it might not even be a game, and if you ever actually do have a choice, well let me know how you did it.

I'm about 2.5 hours in and I think I've experienced everything. I loved every second of my playtime.

They played a demo of this on Steam Train. When the voice mentioned Steam Train, Danny, and Ross by name (the demo was made specifically for them to play), I knew it was going to be good.

Wasn't this the game about how arbitrary freedom and choices are in a video game setting?

this game is pretty...........interesting. after viewing this thread earlier today, i ended up downloading, and playing the demo. it took about 20-ish mins to complete the demo, and i felt like the demo should have been a little bit longer to really get the feel of what the game really was about for those who have never really played a game like this.. like myself. after completing the demo, i was intrigued, but dont see myself buying the game. even though its super cheap for $13. maybe in the future ill check out some youtube vids of the gameplay from the start of the game, until a lil after where the demo left off, and decide if its worth picking up. thanks OP for sharing this.

I remember a version of this as a mod for the Source engine a long time ago. It wasn't very long though, glad to see a full version out. Bought and downloaded

this looks as if its running on the HL source engine.. anyone able to clarify if this is indeed true?

The demo is completely separate from the game, just so you know. It's an entirely separate thing. Also don't watch gameplay, that'd totally ruin it.

"Oh, just my cock." Replied Foil.
"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
                  "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.

The game is running the source version that powered Portal 2.

I don't know if I played all of it, it feels like there's a bigger picture to solve, but I really don't know. It's a very unique game though.
