    Which Is Better?

Ok My friend and I had a huge argument over which series is better. He said Legend Of Zelda because the game is fun and it has bigger replay value. I said you must be a f**king moron and I said the Final Fantasy series is better because the stories PWN all and hes just brainwashed from playing Wind Waker for too long. And Guess what. The whole argument started because I said there was going to be better games other than the next Legend of Zelda at E3 because I have seen the trailers for the next LOZ and its okay but I saw better trailers for games like DMC 3 and Doom. He got pissed. I called him a cocktease. And now I'm eating a banana. Is that so wrong?

SO DECIDE WHICH IS BETTER: LEGEND OF ZELDA OR FINAL FANTASY?

First of all, you and your friend need to learn how to argue. Second, I'm sorry. Legend of Zelda is far better, even despite Link's last and of somewhat questionable quality adventure. Considering Link to the Past is one of the best games ever made, and Ocarina of Time is not far behind, and Final Fantasy still fails to impress me, I'm going with elf boy. Of course, I've never liked turn based RPGs either, so I'm a bit biased...still.

      It's like Squall Versus Link.

While Squall takes an hour to summon something, Link stuns him with hid boomerang and whoops his ass. And unlike Squall, Link can block and dodge attacks.

as a series, overall, legend of zelda seems to be more consistant in quality.

Final fantasy as a series dumped after 7, and now they attach the name to things to boost sales, mostly because squaresoft is no longer in controland able to do what they want.

So don't blame square about their games, blame sony and then enix for fucking it up.

Really good question, but they're two totally different games. Ones an RPG, and the others an action/adventure, it all depends on preference. I do love the final fantasy's, but one fact stands out...the final fantasy games have steadily gotten easier and easier, they're no challenge at all... plus that's the problem with RPG's, they're often unbalanced. But the Zelda series, allthough sticking with the same formula for the most part, has remained just as challenging with each new endevor. Although I hate to say it, the zelda series is slightly better.

Enix has yet to have anything to do with with a Final Fantasy game. Every FF game that has came out since the merger was started before Enix got into the picture, and it's not like they have any say in anything. Square buying Enix was mostly for them to get their hands on the dying Enix franchises which could potentially rake in lots of cash (like Star Ocean 3 and whatever the next Dragon Warrior game will be).

Its likwe I told my friend Different people are going to have different opinions about certain games so you can't think people are going to to say oh this game is better. Inmy opinion the FF series is better with the exception of (FF VIII) But I like RPGs so its biased as well

You still can't pass up the upcoming advent children movie, now there's a final fantasy movie done right.

I dunno, I personally liked it just as they left it in FFVII. The new E3 trailer is sublime but still you have to wonder how much closure an audience can get from only 60 minutes worth of film time. The trailer makes it seem like an epic so I'm worried that they'll do a great job for 58 minutes and then make the ending seem cut off in the last 2.

And to stay on topic--I say LoZ by only a small lead 'cause Action is just more fun. FF has appeared to be lacking thanks to FFX-2, I think FFVII: AC may be the cause for that 'cause it seems just sloppy of Square to have an actual sequel where you're basically trapped into buying a strat. guide if you want to progress 'cause it's all side-questy-like.
                    Guess who's back!

if they made an action-RPG Final Fantasy, it may kick LoZ's ass, but until then, LoZ rocks (especially comparing LoZ1 to FF1 :\)
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

sorry to bump this up, but i hadn't seen it...and i've played FF 1,2,3, and 8, and all of the zelda's...if they made FF into an action rpg, it would suck, honestly...it might be a cool idea...but you know how many crappy action/adventure games out there compared to the good ones? especially finding such a blend that zelda has...FF has to keep to it's own thing...i vote for zelda, and say that FF is a good RPG...but i feel that switching over to try and go head-to-head with zelda is just silly

where did you read this?? because my friend has an x-box magazine which reported that nintendo was going to quite making consoles and console games and sell the right to their first party games (zelda, mario, metroid) to microsoft by the time x-box 2 comes out and just focus on portable gaming....this is, of course, completely bullshit...but if someone had heard any more of this then let me know.
