    Score. E3 2004 owns.

    I LOVE YOU NINTENDO!

At the E3 convention yesterday, Nintendo finally announced that a realistic Zelda game is to be released for the gamecube within a year's time (I guessed on the date).

Also announced was the soon-to-be-released Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Starfox 2, Pikmin 2, Paper Mario 2, Resident Evil 4, and many others. You can find the full e3 convention page here.

Halo 2 has a mention as well for all those crazy Halo fans. The trailers for all these games are here:

I am so glad they decided to make the next Zelda a realistic one. They announced that the next would be another cel-shaded game, I'm very relieved they changed their minds, since the Cel-shading ruined Wind Waker (well, further, since the game kind of sucked anyway). Those screenshots look very nice though, I'm looking forward to it.

You know what I found in those links that's even better than Zelda? Fable.

Well, at least I hope so. Those videos kind of portray the game in a lighter/kiddier way.. more so than I would have expected.

I heard the announcement of WW2 was just a cover up of this Zelda game. WW2 was cancelled with the announcement of this.

Could be heresay, for all I can tell. I have no idea either way.

This is Wind Waker 2, fools.

Just very quickly though, as for the reason why Link has changed, there were very, very, very, very many people out there who wanted Link to change [laughs]. Also there's another reason and that's that in developing the Wind Waker we know that we were going to be creating a game in which Link was a young boy and trying to create a very active and very energetic young boy and trying to choose the right style for portraying the young boy in a game like that we tried many different experiments. The ultimate decision we came to was that the cel-shading in Wind Waker was the best option for expressing that. We also wanted to create a very unique game world on the GameCube.

But since then, we've been left with a very big question: and that was, what are we going to do when we decide to make Link a teenager again -- a 16-year-old Link. So after Wind Waker we tried several different models and made varied versions of them. Ultimately we decided that in showing a teenage Link really the best style of expressing him would be something that's closer to our graphical style in Ocarina of Time. So Mr. Aonuma actually wasn't lying at the Game Developer's Conference when he said we were working on Wind Waker 2. He just didn't tell the whole story. And fortunately because he didn't tell the whole story, we were able to surprise you all here with a big announcement about the series.

By the way, the first Wind Waker ruled.

Banditcom, A+. Wind Waker was awesome and extremely time-consuming to finish all the side-quests, which made it fun. I never liked that people rejected the idea of it because of its look. When did you all forget about not judging a book by its cover?

Speaking of which... I almost finished the Nintendo Gallery... a few bosses to go and some beginning-only characters and that's it. Unfortunately..I'm playing Metroid Prime now instead.

Does anybody know if a Super Monkey Ball 3 is to be released? Or Golden Sun 3? I haven't found anything on those yet...

PS - Gametrailers has tons of new videos from e3, including the trailer for Nintendo DS (Dual Screen gameboy). Ratchet and Clank 3 is among them, along with Jak 3. The DS also has tons of videos for it, like Metroid Prime DS, Mario Kart DS, and Mario 64x4 DS.

I think Wind Waker is a gorgeous game. The problem is, the only fun thing are the dungeons, and the sailing for 2 goddamned hours in between each one made the game suck.
