That's the TWC thread. It's for more than just rules; it's for discussing TWG matters, game bannings, etc. That thread does need to be stickied.

On another note, Manti, when you ban someone from the game can you please send them a PM? I mean, it sucked to find out about my ban out of the clear blue from jugglinguy.

I still majorly disagree with 7c.

If a person is banned for a couple days then they should get phantoms, not be allowed to post on an alternate account.

It should read:

7c. If a player is banned for any reason, it is up to the host as to replace the offending player or not. If the host decides to let the player continue, they may still remain active via another communication source (i.e. AIM), but will not be able to post and will receive phantoms.

If a player is banned permanently, it is the host's responsibility to seek out a replacement for the banned player.

Yeah there should definitely be no ban evasion in TWG. It's against the site rules, and they're not going to exclude us from those rules. Plus if someone got banned it was for a good reason and probably should take a break anyways.

Trust me, I was going to, but I didn't want to untill the game was over. Then, as soon as the game was over, the sign up thread was already up, and you were already asking to be in.

As much as is scares me to disagree with thunder, I support Trav's idea more.

@ Manti: ok, I just don't want anyone else to get screwed and be like "ohshi, I got banned!" But hopefully we will not have to worry about anybody getting banned anymore!

I edited the announcement to simply read "contact any TWC member" and added in a list of the current TWC.

I can also modify Rule 7c once the council decides on the exact wording, but I do agree with the assertion that it should no longer suggest that ban evasion even if just for the purposes of playing TWG shouldn't be encouraged.

The only reason I suggested it, and in one case, allowed it to happen, was that since TWG relies on activity from all players, someone getting banned can have serious effects for the other players on both teams, and by only allowing them to post in TWG, they aren't really "evading" the ban as such anyway.
