I should probably rephrase my statement since now Im seeing the statement as being very broad and encompassing anyone that steps that genra.

What I ment to say is that NTM is the only one other than glove that extensively steps that genra. Although Glove did other styles to, most of his files were dream theater or guitar rock songs.

LOL Ive always wondered what the hell Vocaloid is to be honest. I looked it up and Im still confused. Is it an anime or is it a music composition softwear where the anime characters are just promotional eye candy. I wouldn't mind trying some vocaloid songs, but I really dont like the anime singing parts of any of these songs honestly.

But if there is a song thats non singing, Im down to attempt it. Im sure that wont happen since I think the point is singing.

vocaloid is a voice singing software developped by yamaha. they have made several variations of vocaloids giving each program an anime character visualisation

vocaloid 01 CV02 hatsune miku etc.

Gundam, could you get me an mp3 for that? I have some ideas on how to step some sections from just first listen. I'm actually talking with a guy from Singapore right now, trying to convince him to let me get a download going of his Hatsune Miku vocaloid collection, 10Gb. 8)

Ive actually listened to some of the songs. To me, I think they are to sterotypical and would almost blend in with Mosaic.wav music. The only difference is the style of music which is not purely japanese anime music, but mainly based on rythms and melodies with just a sprinkle of vocals as decoration to tantalize the listener. Also, the vocals aren't as annoying as Mosaic.wav, which isn't saying to much because to me, I tolerate it while most hate it LOL. Basically, its Anime-Trance.

Typically Vocaloid is associated with trance but there are a few other genres that can be incorporated such as jazz, rock, classical, etc. It's not strictly trance in particular since vocarock and vocajazz take up just as many singles. The two Vocaloid songs I stepped for this are produced by OSTER Project so obviously it's more upbeat jazz-esque. I wouldn't associate it as anime either because Vocaloid is a music making software and there are no actual animations that exist for it (though Black Rock Shooter is getting it's own anime adaptation in 2010).

Vocaloid music is endless and it'd be impossible to download every single song unless you've been around from the very beginning of the program's release with MEIKO and KAITO and searched all over nicovideo and vocaloid community. Hell, my Vocaloid music folder is only like 4GB and that's only a small percentage compared to the millions of other singles that are uploaded each and every day.
