    Xoon Drama Pack Released

After eight days of dramatic tension and vicious attacks, we, the folks of Bluexoon bring up the red curtain to reveal the very first Xoon Drama Pack. While we originally planned to make this the Xoon Mini Pack 4, a few Stepmania catfights soon brought us to realize that this was more than an average Mini Pack but a full blown Drama Pack. We wipe the tears from our faces and hope you will enjoy this pack...because we sure went through a ****load to get it out to
    you guys.

    Executive Producers (judges)
    moches
    Buizel
    Roar
    dgk

Behold the song list (ominous violin music plays)

    Anisakis ~somatic mutation restep~
Scylaax gives a masterful portrayal of a stepartist so desperate for work he resteps songs
He also makes good graphics hehe

Bloom Nobly, Cherry Blossoms of Sumizome
Gundam-Dude gives an outstanding performance as a touhou rockstar
And gives topnotch graphics as well

    Ethno Circus
Patashu steps brilliantly, showing a searing look at ethnocentrism
oops provides the magnificent album artwork

    freestyle
who_cares973 plays the amateur DJ way in over his head
Gundam-Dude provides the mentorship and graphics

    Girls And Boys
Trance Core has made a beautiful file about sexism and the double standards it holds
Mr. Bob joins him as the artist who plays no significant role but is just there to fill the indie quota

    Hell Prominence
Coolboyrulez has made a file that will resonate with Super Mario Galaxy players for years to come
Also Gundam-Dude has a field day, adding his unique touch of artistry

    MENDES
Buizel steps alongside Eva Mendes as the father who will stop at nothing to save his kidnapped children
Once again, Gundam proves why he is one of Hollywood's most sought after graphic artists

    Solid State Squad
Kommisar gives a performance worthy of a indie film that everybody will go see (hi Juno)
the graphical artist has been uncredited. hopefully he won't sue.

    Sunrag
moches has a nail-on portrayal of an overly simplified chiptune file
featuring oops as guest graphic artist

    Sunrise DRAMAmine
Noon makes memories as an cheerful 15-year old who dreams of not being spammed over his files someday
He does double duty, doing the stepping and graphic work

    The Exit Track
Noon is on a roll, having two potential hit files coming out on the same weekend and doing both stepping and graphic work on both of them

    The Venerable Ancient Battlefield
Gundam-Dude has hit a rut in his career where he can only step DARK Phoenix music (sort of like that girl from My Big Fat Greek Wedding. or Tyler Perry.)
Will he redeem himself through his graphics?

    Tori No Uta Remix
Entertainment Weekly raves, "Gundam-Dude defies all of Hollywood by doing the same thing over and over again! The crowds will line up for this one!"
E! Online gushes, "Once again, Gundam has hit gold in a place that's already been overmined! Who would have guessed a MA file could come from a Touhou remix?"
Roger Ebert writes, "I was quite happy at the time, so this movie gets 4 stars. Also Transformers 2 gets a 1 since that's the day my daughter told me she was pregnant."

    Trip To
Baq12 makes his stage debut as a wonderfully unbalanced guitarist who keeps on seeing colors.
Gundam-Dude has a grand slam making the graphics.

    White Tornado
moches gives one of the best files about racism and natural disasters to date
Graphical veteran Gundam-Dude collaborates with him.

    Mounanimomitakunai
Scylaax plays a brilliant character whose name is only known in Japanese. He spends his time in the basement "beating the bass". But who is that girl in the background?
And why is she in the graphics which Scylaax made?

That's the lineup for the weekend of July 10, 2009. We'll see you tomorrow on Access Hollywood. I'm Billy Bush.

    Buh-bye.

copy and pasta from Xoon. favorites are green and bolded (Necros style hehe)

Anisakis ~somatic mutation restep~- Like this better than the other two even though there are some mistakes. Nice xMod tricks. 6.5

Bloom Nobly, Cherry Blossoms of Sumizome- Fun, nothing amazing but worth playing 7

Ethno Circus- Very fun. Nice Puppet color theory. 8.5

freestyle- Short and sweet. Wtf is the song? dj Kentaro, lmao. 7

Girls And Boys- Actually like this a lot even though the middle is severely understepped. 7.5

Hell Prominence- Not my cup of tea but I can see some people liking it. 5.5

MENDES- Few mistakes, nice mines. Overall sort of generic but it's good. 6.5

Solid State Squad- Grows on you like most of Kommi's files (I even like Feast of Eternity now rofl). Cool song. 8

Sunrag- Repeats and it could have progressed a little more but it's short and sweet. Yay. I might fix this up a tad more and release a v2 7.5

Sunrise DRAMAmine- Actually really fun even though some parts have big errors. Feels intuitive 7.5

The Exit Track- Nice hard file, some parts feel off 6

The Venerable Ancient Battlefield- Playable if bland, sucky song. 6

Tori No Uta Remix- MA file sweet. Feels quite clean 6

Trip To- Holy **** did not expect this to be good but you blew me away. Jacks aren't totally pitch relevant but stepping them accurately would take a lot of the fun out of the file. Sweet NTM color solos 9

White Tornado- I changed it up a little but I didn't like what I did to it at all and changed it back, sorry Puppet This feels more like how I want it to feel. 7

Mounanimomitakunai- Can't decide how much I like this file now, but it's better than Anisakis for sure. Feels more polished than most Scylaax files do, which is always a plus. 7

overall about on par with Xoon Mini 3, proving the Xoon community still has it in them to make a good pack. nice job everybody, see you back for Xoon Drama 2 hopefully. and this time, you can have all the drama you want!

      pack rating: 6.5/10

plus reviews from the great Chef Kommi below! (audience OOHS)

anisakis: being someone who stepped this for pad, i can safely say this didnt need a re-step and that even though you remade it, it still has mistakes and hardly has any replay value due to generic steps

bloom nobly: I see you're slowly becoming the next dew of touhou simfiles. the file itself isnt bad even though it pretty much steps itself and doesnt generate anything amazing. decent work though expected from gundam duder

ethno circus: patasher eh. nice consistency with jacks. not. file maybe rhythmically accurate but jack theory was off during some repeated parts where you step the next section differently. idk its patashu layering theory i wont argue with it. doesnt have much replay value for me but i could see people liking this for a sort of MA file.

freestyle: lmao dj kentaro. awesome dj. heard this freestyle a while back. short file not much to say about it.

girls and boys (no toys =<): I know you love using gimmicks, but for **** sake stop using 12th stops. move them to 32nds at least so it doesnt **** up in sm 3.9. file itself is pretty cool however. for a mainstream-ish song its not bad at all

hell prominence: right off the bat i can tell your 32nds are off. 24ths later are from the same 32nds yet you follow different beats. technically needed quite a bit of work.

mendes: ...not very many technical errors in this one. i like it pretty equal to ddrace's mainly due to the fact that the song isnt very interesting to start with.

solid state squad: how 2 make fielz wit replay value

sunrag: o ya i remember this from ffrcp3. i mean i fucen love you for stepping chiptunez but if only the song didnt repeat a second time and was something original, i would love this. repeating songs are the death of good files.

sunrise: nice cdtitle sike i cant see **** lmao. besides for the blatant boring song due to repetitiveness, props for making it technically accurate for the most part. probably one of your best works noonie

the exit track: haha wow messed up. one of the more challenging charts in the pack. noon you've gotten quite a bit better at making files. this is proof. personally not my kind of file but i could see you making hard fun challenging files in the future a la cetaka

ancient battlefield: WAT U DON FOLLOW THE GUITAR HOW DARE U. has a lot of inconsistencies concerning guitar/drum layering since it alternates too much. feels very dew-y. but ye some parts missing some key 16th notes to transitions.

tori no uta remix: played this for od6 iirc. wasnt anything amazing but was technically aite.

trip to: feels like an exaggerated ntm file lmao. not perfectly accurate but pretty challenging lmao. probably best file in the pack so far.

white tornado: A technically difficult file to follow. i see you're pulling puppets with the mines haha. some parts needed work accuracy wise but for the most part this was very well done.

t+******ite: COOL non pitch relevant jacks... song blows and file pretty much has no replay value because of this.

overall pack is a slight disappointment since its rather mediocre compared to the xoon minis, but at least makes it better than the first two xoon packs.

"Oh, just my cock." Replied Foil.
"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
                "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.

                      sike I did reviews

                      Anisakis (Scylaax)
Not the best song choice to choose for restepping since there's really not much more you can do with the song itself. Personally, I liked Chodasaibaka's file more but looking past that fact, your file is alright. Some rainbow notes didn't feel needed and seem a bit awkward. 6/10

Bloom Nobly, Cherry Blossoms of Sumizome (Gundam-Dude)
My file. Probably my best file out of the 3 in the pack. If you liked Crystalize Silver in Xoon Finale, you'll like this.

                      Ethno Circus (Patashu)
Loved your pattern usage and overall layering. Pretty fun file. 9/10

                      Freestyle (Who_Cares973)
Short, straightforward and unique file. I liked it though I doubt I'd play it more than once or twice. 7/10

                      Girls and Boys (Trance Core)
BPM gimmicks felt unnecessary and overall the file was kinda bland and generic. I loved your Poinsettia file but this just doesn't rank as high for me. 6/10

                      Hell Prominence (CBR)
Alright for a MA file but other than that, not much I'd want to replay. 32nds were inaccurate. 5/10

                      Mendes (Buizel)
Was expecting a lot more of a challenging chart though so it's pretty understepped but it turned into a pretty alright MA file nonetheless. 7/10

                      Mounanimomitakunai (Scylaax)
The fact that you didn't layer the main melody until a bit later on into the beginning of song kinda turned me off. Overall, alright file. Nothing spectacular or notable about the chart but then again song choice kinda killed it. 6/10

                      Solid State Squad (Kommisar)
Played this back when you stepped and submitted this for OD6. Fun file and accurately stepped. 9/10

                      Sunrag (moches)
Right off the bat I liked the song choice. After playing it I'm quite impressed. Your files seem to get better and better. Straightforward and fun. Will definitely play this again despite being slightly repetitive. 9/10

                      Sunrise Dramamine (Noon)
lmao CDtitle is so dark that it blends into the banner. Pretty repetitive but it was enjoyable. 7/10

                      The Exit Track (Noon)
Rainbow notes add a nice touch to the file. Enjoyable and rather nicely stepped. The rainbow burst near the end is pretty gay though ~__~ 8/10

                      The Venerable Ancient Battlefield (Gundam-Dude)
My file. Standard and Heavy are pretty much the same chart except Standard is very underlayered. An OK file.

                      Tori no Uta Remix (Gundam-Dude)
                      Boring MA file. Nothing more.

                      Trip To (Baq12)
Are you N.T.M.'s alternate account? Because this looked like one of his files, lmao. Overall great file. Some patterns during rainbow parts were kinda awkward. 9/10

                      White Tornado (moches)
I initially thought this would be more rainbow but the file was great. Nice application of jack theory. 9/10

Overall, pack is decent. Wasn't that great but it's still worth a download for a select few files.

I actually expected this kind of reaction since imho the packs get better over time. I didn't like Xoon Mini 1 that much, but then Xoon Mini 2 was better and every pack that came out was better than the one before. So you can expect a better pack next time around
