    Making a song

I am having trouble making songs in stepmania, I throw the song into Mix Meister so the bpm is right but all my songs are still a little bit off.

    I was going to ask what notes do you guys use 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, 24th, 32nd
or lower? cause I don't usually go past 12th or 16th notes so any help here would be great.

        1) I think he is talking about the Beat 0 Offset, which is when you choose for your chart to start relative to the music. You can change this by pressing F11/F12.
2)I rarely go past 32nd notes unless I'm stepping mini-freezes (very short freeze notes usually for emphasis) in which case I go to 64th notes.

        Hope this helps.

make sure the first beat of the song falls on an actual beat in the editor by changing the offset. also, mixmeister is rarely, if ever, perfect

if you know you have the right bpm, lower the rate to 0.3x and place down red notes. if they're not aligned with the beat, place notes where the beat does come up and use assist tick to ensure you have the exact right time; note what time the real beat comes at by looking in the top right, then adjust the real beat (red notes) using F11 and F12 until it matches this time
