Re: Finding BPM
Alternatively, get DDReam Studio and tap out the beats. (use this for dynamic songs)Comment

Re: Finding BPM
1. mixmeister is slightly inaccurate for most songs, being 0.01 to 0.02 off the true bpm (for some songs it's more inaccurate though)
2. most songs have a bpm that is an integer multiple of 0.05
from this it follows that, unless you have reason to believe otherwise, your initial bpm should be mixmeister's rounded to the nearest 0.05
obviously it's not always right but it's most likely to be rightPatashu makes Chiptunes in Famitracker:

Re: Finding BPM
almost certainly
if it is 125.99 though you'll find that you're about 5 milliseconds early per minute into the songPatashu makes Chiptunes in Famitracker:

Re: Finding BPM
Which is why rounding shouldn't always (but most of the time should) be done if the bpm doesn't exactly end with 0 or 5 at the end. It should be obvious later in the song whether it's offsync or not if it's a single bpm with assist tick on. I've found a few songs myself that were purposely made with an uneven bpm. 2 minutes into a song, it could be up to 20 milliseconds off if its right bpm was in between 0 and 5 at the end and then rounded.
Anyway, I really think everyone should download and use DDReamStudio for syncing anyway so that for sure no one would have arrows that are offsync anymore. It's not hard to use. I don't know why people keep saying that it is.
