Re: Stops and negative BPMs
negative bpm: make a bpm change then make the bpm normal where you want it to end, save, load the .sm file in notepad/text editor of choice, locate the bpm change, make it any negative value, save, in stepmania select reload from disk, bam
when you hit the negative bpm you are teleported to the next positive bpm bypassing all notes
a negative stop works similarly, it jumps ahead in the chart by how many seconds the negative stop lists
PS negative bpms/stops do not work in stepmania 4.0 afaik, they may or may not work in 3.95 but they definitely do in 3.9Patashu makes Chiptunes in Famitracker:

Re: Stops and negative BPMs
Just be sure that when you include pauses you don't compromise the alignment of the notes. Frequently people do this and then try to compensate by using incorrect notes instead of adjusting the the pause which caused it in the first place.“Beware the irrational, however seductive. Shun the 'transcendent' and all who invite you to subordinate or annihilate yourself. Distrust compassion; prefer dignity for yourself and others. Don't be afraid to be thought arrogant or selfish... Suspect your own motives, and all excuses. Do not live for others any more than you would expect others to live for you.”

Re: Stops and negative BPMs
Skipped arrows still count towards score. So, you know, don't abuse itWhy would you put that in your signature? You've lost your signature rights for a month. (You'll get them back on March 10th, 2012.)Comment

Re: Stops and negative BPMs
Negative BPMS/Stops are pretty cool if you use them right. (see: JS's V^3 simfile)
As defined by the SM developers. Negative BPM/Stops is a glitch in the SM source code which was fixed in SM4CVS/SVN. So thats sims with neg bpms/stops don't work.
Though you can perform skips in SM4 Using megaBPM (~200,000bpm)Comment
