If you haven't played it yet (or the final version), here's a vid to make things faster:
Biggest complaint I've had is the layering inconsistency. Here are the basic rules I made regarding the layering:
If the drums comply with the guitar alright, then layer. If they don't, I favor the guitar over the drums almost (if not always) 100% of the time. If there's like a guitar solo I'll obviously just step the guitar. Even if the guitar is kinda slow yet the drums are also present I'll still do the guitar. I figure DF sims have enough 16th streams, right? Why not step some things slower but with a more distinct pattern sometimes?
And being a 14 footer, it's pretty tough (32nd steams!!).“Beware the irrational, however seductive. Shun the 'transcendent' and all who invite you to subordinate or annihilate yourself. Distrust compassion; prefer dignity for yourself and others. Don't be afraid to be thought arrogant or selfish... Suspect your own motives, and all excuses. Heavy and Challenge are almost the exact same aside from some more jacks at the end. I was almost gonna get rid of that option, but I decided to keep it. It's way too jacky for most people though so it plays best on heavy. Edit is JUST guitar. It has a very GH-like feel.“Beware the irrational, however seductive. Can you say 15 feet? How does a sim for DragonForce - Inside The Winter Storm sound? I've decided to step it. Initially I was never gonna do another DF sim but I actually ended up getting a LOT of positive feedback. If you could wait a few more days for the pack I'll try to get it done asap. 14 foot TTFAF sim:
The video isn't of the final (although the final is done). In The final there are some added drum rolls, added 16ths (that kinda got drowned out in the main solo so they're easy to miss), and one part where there are actually 24ths/16th combinations instead of a 16ths stream. It's by far the most accurate version of TTFAF I've ever seen.
Read the video description to get more info as to it's construction. There were so many hidden complications so the description will help you gain some insight.
