    My First StepPack

This is the first set of songs I feel are good enough to be posted here on FFR.

    http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/4fd3d00a12_2.93MB (Banana Phone
    http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/fe44014117_2.83MB (Mad World
    http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/afcce8166f_2.5MB (Super Hero
http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/7f06ff819c_4.41MB (Wow I can get Sexual too

    So lets seee... song stats....

Banana Phone - Raffi - [B,L,S,H,C] A friend asked me to do this one...i find it odd that teenagers like songs meant for babies..but w/e.

Mad World - Gary Jules - [B,L,S,H,C] Again, friend requested, but I was gonna do it anyway, this song always makes me wanna dance.

Super Hero - Stephen Lynch - [B,L,S,H,C] Very funny song, has some Stops in it during the parts that arent really danceable.

Wow, I can get sexual too - Say anything - [B,L,S,H,C] I always end up dancing to this song, its just so awesome!!

All songs are PAD-Ready, no hands or Quads!
I have other song packs too, but i'm sick of uploading files for now.
I'll post the Complete Pack in a .Zip file in a bit, but for now its one song at a time.

Leave me feed back on my steps, but please don't generalise, make it song-specific.

    Thanks,

You can upload your files to the simfile database instead. Anyway, I'll download these and critique later.

    Hands can be paddable.

Yeah, but i don't quite get that stupid thing.. it asks me for difficulty, but i make all the dif's at once (or maybe i'm just stupid)

and hands can be paddable, but i view PAD-Ready as just feet.

of course, with a really good pad you can do all 4 panels at once with your feet.
its all a matter of opinion.

      [Edit]
I just checked out like 9 of your simfiles and umm...wow!
your opinion is definitely eagerly awaited o.o

        Go you. You are awesome.

You know where the Upload link is so...
        Quick Uploading Guide:

        Song Name: um, yeah.

Song Author: UNLESS YOU MADE THE SONG, THIS IS NOT YOU! DO NOT CONFUSE WITH SIMFILE AUTHOR!

Description: A meaningful description of your file (please)

BPM: BPM goes here. (Only fits up to 5 characters, for some reason)

Difficulty: Most people just put the max difficulty here. Like if they have Beginner-Oni, they would put the Oni difficulty, and maybe put all of them up in the description section.

Upload Zip: Your zipped song folder goes here.

Click upload, wait a bit, and done! If your song has bpm changes or pauses in it, it won't be playable on Resonance and is flagged with 'Time Changes'.

EDIT: Haven't played them yet. Whoops it's 5:30 am goodnight.

            Re: My First StepPack

Criticism uh oh! You probably won't like what I have to say at first.

Okay, I pretty much have the same things to say about each simfile, so it's all in one lump.

You put the Song Artist and Title in the wrong place in Stepmania. For each one, the artist is where the title should be, and the title is where any subtitle would go.
Also, if you used something like Ctrl+R or Record in Selection to make these songs, stop doing that and click the couple of links below. If you haven't been doing that, still click those links. You need to get your simfiles synced.

I didn't like the song choices. None of them seem to be fit for simfiling.
Super Hero is more of a comedic sketch than a song. Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too has annoying vocals, in my opinion. Mad World puts me to sleep. Just not my type of dance song. Banana phone is meh.

As for the steps and patterns (aside from sync), they appear to be going to mainly the vocals. Most good simfiles have more than the vocals stepped, so listen to all parts of the song and decide which are best for getting steps. Double-check on feet to eliminate any awkward patterns, unless you like a lot of doublestepping (some is okay depending on the song and such, just don't make it a pad nightmare).

So sync, song choice, and patterns are mainly what need work. Also, make sure everything is in the right place, and that difficulties/foot ratings are appropriate.
I think that's all I have. If you want to make keyboard level files, get advice from someone else, since I have little experience in that area.

First, spellcheck your posts, then maybe you won't make yourself look like an idiot. Second, get stepmania. After that, read the stickies in the simfile forum to get started.
