This idea just popped inside my head... A pack of files with music that the people compose.
Plan:
The pack will be a nine month project. First four months will be for composing music whilst the other four months will be set aside for stepping the music. I may need to extend the project just a little longer for GFX creation if needed. You can still step and submit whatever you have completed.
Qualifications:
-If you are a composer, The music in this pack will be strictly something you or someone else composed using a music composing application - such as Fruity Loops.
-If you are stepping music that someone else composed, you MUST obtain permission or I will reject it. I would advise you place something in the readme about permission.
-You may not step music from an official artist such DJ Sharpnel(not like anyone would want to step his **** anyway) or Venetian Snares.
-The music should be high quality meaning it should sound like you actually have experience in creating music. I don't want any crap that you just created after the first two hours of messing around with the program. It will be most likely rejected if it crappy. You have been warned.
-If you feel you can compose music with an instrument, you may submit a file with that music.
I have only one condition, the audio must be clean. Not some **** you recorded using your digital camera/camcorder. If you cannot give me clean audio, don't submit it. Also, the instrument should be an actual one, not some rubber band guitar... Common sense folks.
-All submitted files must include a background, banner, and a cdtitle. A readme file is optional but encouraged
If you lack GFX, you may still submit but do not rely on us most of the time to make graphics though. It makes more work and may extend the date for the pack to be released.
-Long versions and marathons accepted but the file must not exceed twenty minutes.
-If you only have one stepchart, make it heavy. Oni and EDIT stepcharts are also acceptable. If you have an additional stepchart that is not to be taken seriously make it a beginniner stepchart.
-Mines are optional but should not be whored.
-BPM freezes are optional
-Submit files to [email protected] with the subject title as Composed Music Pack Submission.
-All Files must be unreleased. I don't need 10 copies of <insert name here>'s OP.
-All Files must be keyboard files.
-All files must be at least a 10 foot rating.
My goal is to get around 34-40 high quality but not crappy files. If I feel that I have more than enough packs and nobody is submitting anymore, I'll release it. If I feel that I haven't reached my goal by the end of the , I will extend the project one month. If I still do not reach my goal, then I'll just stop.
This project may be sucessful or not. If you have a talent for composing music, this pack is just right for you. You may also post a request here for your [composed] music to be stepped. I may predict that this project may fail, but there is a chance that it won't. This is just an idea. AN IDEA!!! Post here if you have questions.

Since I've received some requests to extend the time for composing music, I will do so. 4.5 months for composing and 3 months of stepping.

Not everybody is good at making graphics that created simfiles so I decided to ask volunteers to contribute to the pack by making graphics. I wouldn't expect people to waste their time if the pack does not get released. We can start making graphics during the stepping stage and for the files that were accept bascially. Those of you that would so kindly volunteer, please post here. And if we have a good amount of sims, and no graphics, then I don't know.
