Originally the BPM for my song was off a bit, so I gave it a BPM change. But the online simfiles dont let you have a BPM change. This is a common problem, but how in the hell do I remove the change, and then set the overall BPM to what I want it to be?

Re: Remove Time Change
Either go into the notepad and get rid of where it lists the time change, or go into StepMania's editor and change the bpm with the F7 and F8 keys at the place where the change is until it's the same as the bpm was before the change, and it should go away.

Re: Remove Time Change
If the actual BPM of the song changes in the middle, then you definitely shouldn't remove the BPM change. If you were simply mistaken about the BPM originally, and you are making the simfile in Stepmania, just go to the first beat of the song and use f7/f8 keys to change the BPM to what you want.Comment

Re: Remove Time Change
Meh, don't worry about it. You should worry about quality more than you should about if the file plays on Resonance.
If there's only the BPM being defined on beat 1 then it should not get tagged. Also remember that stops count as time changes.Comment

Re: Remove Time Change
For some reason, your .sm file has this line when you open it in Notepad: #STOPS:0.000=0.000; <-- A pause at beat 0 for 0 seconds???
If you changed it to this: "#STOPS:;" or delete that line completely, then it should be playable on Resonance.Have a pad simfile that you're proud of? Send it to:

Re: Remove Time Change
If your song has a bpm change, then there is no way to have it on beat in resonance (unless you take the effort in stepping something in the wrong bpm, which probably would not ever be worth it).
Resonance's gap is off by a 16th anyway.YOU JUST WON THE GAME! CONGRATULATIONS!Comment
