I did TGWP by ear, at 0.5x. It came out just fine.

Syncing by ear takes a hell of a lot of time, and you have to have the bpms perfect or it will trash the whole simfile. I did TGWP with 0 experience in manually found bpm changes, so I'm sure others can too.

Personally, I think it's fun to sync by ear

1.) WTF. Do you know how distressing this is to hear? KIDDY is not offbeat. Sora is not offbeat. It plays Windows: None of these three are off at ALL. I have done the test before: Play "Twilight zone" (I hope you know thats a ddr song) and then played SOra. Both seemed just as much on to the beat.

Play with autoclick and you'll see i'm right.

So, wtf, people can just randomly say a file is offsynch? because mine ARENT. Someone is really trying to mess with my head here.

2.) Does not. - end of discussion - (also, goldwave sucks. get cool edit pro or even audacity, they work better for speed and finidng beats)

and 3.) I know rebirth synchs by ear, but I'm saying that I still end up listening to the songs I'm synching at least 2x through while I'm finding beats; its not like you just go through looking at the bumps in the spectrogram, I just have it play, I count in my head to 64 (for steady songs) hit pause, get the beat I KNOW it stopped on (if theres confusion, I'll play that area again) and write it down. I can also tell you that my method is MUCH faster than rebirth's. But, its ok if you use rebirth's way. I really dont care.

What I do care about is people who say **** about my script whiel I'm obviously having a lot of fun making it better. I really want to add more cool bpm effects; adding stuff like this is cool! but when people just come and say, "hee hee but all of taifun's stuff is offsynch" - which I assume your gathering from something someone else said which was based off one of my... first files? (see "Help" from the beatles on bms, first file, way off, cuz I tried to do by ear).

Whatev, rant over, I'm gonna synch WITH MY SCRIPT ALL DAY today, and I expect to get 3 non-bpm steady songs done completely today. WELL. speed + quality = pwnage, and thats what we need in the smgpadpack.

Back to my spot on www.smgroove.com forums

edit: I really wish I could show off the file I did last night, because I used my script (as always) and it turned out... "I cant believe its not official" - like. But, its in the smgpadpack, so you'll have to wait :P

This program may work for you:

          www.ddreamstudio.com

It'll let you sync by ear, by eyes, by math... and it has a pretty good step editor too.
          I designed ddreamstudio.
