Noob question.

Maybe I'm just retarded, but how exactly do you put mines in a stepfile? Whenever I try to do shift+number, this box saying "attack" and a duration come up and then SM can't find a pic. I know I'm missing something important here...

all you do is you push and hold down CTRL and place an arrow like usualy when making the steps, that is if you are using the Stepmania Editor.

should be shift, or mabye ctrl. I haven't made a file in a little while now. If there is any problem, just hit F1 and it should tell you there.

It's Shift + number.

As for your problem, a friend of mine has the same thing. He can't use mines for whatever reason and we can't figure out what's wrong. Mines should be under Noteskins/common.

What version and theme are you using?

EDIT: Also as an aside, on SM 4.0, holding shift while making a freeze arrow creates a freeze roll. It doesn't show up as a roll unless you're using a noteskin that supports rolls. I just thought that was cool. :P

Edit: I figured it out. It's left shift, not right shift. wtf.
