    Well...

I'm going to get straight to the point: I'm not the best at making simfiles. By this I mean that it's hard for me to make a file from scratch. However, once I'm good at getting all the preliminary stuff down, I probably can make great simfiles.

However, what I am good at, is playing a file, editing it, and making it slightly better. Whether it be better syncing, technicality, or just pure innovation, I can edit my idea's into a simfile.

So here is the deal: give me somthing to do with my free time by picking out already made simfiles, and seeing how I can improve them. If the creator of the file likes what he/she sees, than my edit is your gift; I will take minimal credit for it. If you don't like it, I'll go on with something else.

Hopefully this will give me creativity experience, so when I learn the actual process of making a stepfile, I can produce quality of another level.

Here is my first edit. This is Omegix's Speedcore Dandy, which can be found in KBCI. Also, in the middle part, at first you might think I put bullcrap steps, but I really wanted to capture the mood at that point in the song. Have an enjoy!

Ok, update. What I'm working on right now is not an edit, but it isn't from scratch. More on this later.

You should value your education more than this crap of Flash Flash bull.

Yeah, creating edits is definitely one of the best first steps towards simfile making. I don't have any projects for you to do yet, but I wish you luck in becoming a great simfile-maker.

Just edit a file you already have. Copy-paste another version of it in your songs folder and go nuts.
      hehe

I've done that. Also, let's say I tinkered with Omegix's Speedcore Dandy. Could I post both his original and my edit? Or would that infringe on some ownership rule?

Just post your edit as a new simfile and say its an edit, but give original credit to Omegix. That should be enough I think. (Don't think you should post his steps though)
