I was looking at my songs and I saw several with the subtitle "IVKAS Style."
What exactly does this mean?

I think it means the steps somewhat resemble that of the original DDR/Bemani songs steps.

IVKAS was an old term used for 4 key auto scratch. It used to be that you would add notes to every beat in a song. The placement of the steps would be in a beatmania style, where one step corresponds to a specific line and it stays there. At times, people's IVKAS files would just be like any normal file now, where notes are everywhere and not exactly with logic and repeating the process for every note.

Also, the songs that the people who use the term are usually DDR songs.

It would not be a good thing. My theory:

95% of peeps not playing StepMania = StepMania goes out of business
95% of those peeps also thinking that IVKAS is related to DDR/BeatMania/etc. = DDR ceases to exist
No DDR = No FFR
No FFR = No LD/Synth
No LD/Synth = FFR ceases to exist

Simple.
