    [Simfile] Too Fast

Look, something that no one else has stepped. I guess the world is over.

Well, this is a song called Too Fast by Forte Escape. It's from DJMAX. It's a really upbeat song and despite the title of it, it's pretty damn slow. But I love the song anyway and I had to step it. This is my first try at doing (serious) pad steps. K2G doesn't count. That was just bullshit. Anyway, download, rate, comment, enjoy. Heavy:10 Challenge:11 (heavy is pad of course)

Too bad you didn't use them enough. You used 16ths where the music played 24ths pretty often, which killed the swing of the song. You stepped to the vocals way, way too much. The jump placement was terrible and choppy. You switched from instrument to instrument to vocals and all over the place to the point where it didn't make sense.

                    Needs work.

Oh, and for the record, your Absolute was pretty good. The lack of jumps covered up the fact that you use them pretty poorly, and the patterns were fun.

I've got a post late in the Keyboard Collab thread explaining my viewpoint on jumps. You can use that as a model, or you can whore Reach's new sims and take up that style (Disabled the Flaw, Palindrome). It involves keeping one pattern with one arrow and stepping the melody with the other three. It puts out some really neat files.
