Better Stepfile Maker

I'm having trouble creating songs for my copy of DWI. I use X-Step, but that keeps messing up the notes and freezing on me.

Does anybody else know of a good stepfile making program? X-Step is too buggy for me.

I Googled any combination of words I could think of.

stepmania's step edit program thingy is quite nice, yes. i thought i would restate this a third time in case you missed it the last two posts or something.

Yes, I don't think Stepmania can edit DWI files, and I cannot edit stepfiles in notepad to save my life.

doesn't stepmania make a DWI format of the song though when you save it?

Yes, I don't think Stepmania can edit DWI files, and I cannot edit stepfiles in notepad to save my life.

Trust me when I tell you that all will be solved by downloading StepMania. SM uses .dwi files.

O wonder why in stepmania there are 192nd steps but you can't make your own.

1. make a 48th note
2. use SM to compress the bpm by 2 to make 96ths.
3. repeat step 2. Voila! 192nds

but why would you ever need them? :/
