(but did it have any redeeming quality to deserve being shared nowadays)

I assume you found out about it by reading my page on staian's wiki but trust me, it's a sloppy aggregate of 12 files (if my memory's right) made around 2008 and I had basically zero element of ~step theory~ at the time, so stepping was basically throwing random and seemingly suitable notes on an approximative bpm with terrible graphics
