Use F11 and F12 to change the offset. You can see what offset you have on the right part of the screen.

And use F1 to see more commands.

Google for Audacity. Open whatever song you're looking for the gap on.

Look at the dead flatline before the song actually starts. Zoom in and click about where you see the start of the wave peaks to be at. There'll be a number at the bottom telling you exactly how many seconds/tenths/hundredths/thousandths of a second it is.
