Well, Tonberry Kid is back. (I haven't been playing SM or FFR in about 3 weeks X3) Anyways!! On topic now!

How do I find the gap in a song? I tried AP's way, but to no success. Is there a program I could download possibly or something that ISN'T confusing as hell(yes AP's way confused the hell outta me =\) Anything will help tremendously.

Wait, you're serious? =/ ap's guide is completely outdated, his methods still work but there are much easier ways. Find the nearest quarter note to the real first note, step from there, and then use autosync. It's that easy.

Autosync is by no means perfect.

Personally, I use Goldwave. I open the file, find the exact point in the MP3 where I want my first beat to start, then I open SM and offset it that much. Simple, really.

OK, how do I do a BPM change lol....I want to know these things because I'm getting from a 172 bpm to a 132 bpm.... Anything will help =\

f7 f8 for bpm changes f9 f10 for stops. and holding tab makes it go faster.

and use a program to find gap... autosync will get you within a tenth of a second or two, but that really isn't satisfactory.

The technique is completely accurate, I must admit autosync isn't completely perfect.. but if you autosync it on J6 or so, you should be able to get it down to where you at least won't notice it. I mean hell, I use it on tons of sims I download since the gap changes. I have pretty good MA too, and I don't notice a thing.

@Varia - holy crap, have you ever put in BPM gimmicks or changes or anything in your files? I mean you must have had to sit there for like an hour hoding down the F8 button.

Actually, the longer you hold down the button, the faster it goes.

Actually, it starts out slow, and then after a little bit, it speeds up some and then stays at that speed.
