    Dr. Mario noteskin

yes, ANOTHER noteskin from me. i dont know what prompted me to do it, but i did, and i happen to finish around the same time that Afrobean made the Dr. Mario stepfile, which works out great. and now, a lil list of what i changed:

---"Catchers" at the top are now the germs from Dr. Mario. instead of pulsing, they dance around like in the Dr. Mario game. the blue one is there twice because i think it looks the coolest
---tap and freeze arrows are now the pills from Dr. Mario. they are note colored with the standard colors (red = 4th, blue = 8th, etc) but because of their size can get bunched easily. i dont recommend playing Bag-speed things at 1x
---tap "explosions" (the lil graphic that shows when u hit the arrow) are bigger...much bigger. also, the corresponding germ is affected by the explosion. at first they just make a stunned face, but if hit when u have 100+ combo, they fall over in the glow of a very large explosion. i did this to simulate the pills hurting the germs, and because it just looks cool
---as u hold a hold note, the germ squirms around in pain as the giant hold explosion twirls around it. again, just because it looks cool

and i think that's it. in case those descriptions dont help u visualize, here are some screenshots:

So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

You do that? That's cool. If I was confident enough in my stepping skills I'd probably do that too.

About the skin: It was sooooo good. It was hard to get my timing right though; I had my judge on 6. So I set it back to 4 and did very well. They are a little distracting when you get your combo to 100, but that makes it really cool (the HUGE flashing and them falling over)

I mostly put up a link to my steps because you have a screen from it. Who am I kidding? I probably would have mentioned it anyway...

yeah, i'm not really that good in Stepmania, but i'm better than some, so i slip in a few Power Rangers screenshots. i need to post a screenshot from the Challenge steps of Carmen Sandiego. damn freezes always mess me up but i got it one time, and i think i got a screenshot.

and yeah, the huge flashing thing is pretty nifty. when i mess with the FFR one i will try and get a flashy animation like the one used in FFR, but idunno if it will work 100% goodly. haha, goodly, what a great word

              That is way to cool.

Do you think you could make a Banjo Kazooie one or something. Maybe have like jigsaw pieces at the top and have musical notes as the arrows. Just a thought. I really like your noteskins. Keep em coming.

It would have been a hell of a lot easier to read if they were all in the same direction.

yeah, but then they woulda been in all the same direction, which is boring. it's not like they were made to be easy to read. that's what Note is for :P
