    How Do You...

How does everyone create simfiles so fast. I use the stepmania thing but it still takes me ages to get a song done, let alone on beat. Could anyone give me a suggestion to create simfiles faster?

I do one difficulty per night on a song. I can get out about 2 songs a week this way, but I think there's people that work faster than me.
    Ridiculous Timing!!!!

The best thing to happen to Stepmania since Marvelous Timing!

Uh, get better at stepfile making.

Or make shitty stepfiles. Yea, you can make those really fast.

Depending on the song length, it takes me about 2 hours (for a 4 minute song). A 2 minute song would take me anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
So just practice making stepfiles. It'll come easier by the time you're done your first 5 simfiles.

Here's my best advice for you:

Know the song. Figure out the repetitive rhythm and just blindly write steps to the rhythm until the rhythm stops. Then, if you made too many steps, select the extra steps, press enter, and select Clear on the selection screen.

To make things onbeat when rhythms are difficult to figure out, use 0.5x Rate and 2x. (Figured assist tick blocks the music)

Bad advice. If you want to make crap then do this.

Uhh, it works for me and I still make decent stepfiles.
(Anyway, what I meant by "if you made too many steps" I meant if the repeating song rhythm ended.
You have to play the selection you made to know when the rhythm ends)

BTW, that was a way to make stepfiles FAST-but-decent.
