I use virtualdub with DivX 6.9.2 Codec (4 Logical CPUs) and my videos dont lag for me, so yeah

people still use outdated technologies. because my files have rolls nobody can enjoy them fully

Why I would want a fake in my simfile. I prefer Leonid's gimmicks lol. I'm ok with rolls though as long as they are correctly used
