    Need a little help

    Alright, so I downloaded SM, try to load it up and lo and behold, my video card does not have the proper drivers! No problem, I just go download the most recent for my model. Problem solved right? Wrong!

    You see, the instructions on how to install said drivers are for Windows 95 and Windows 98, yet I run on Windows 2000. The directions don't work for me. So, computer geniuses, how can I install these updated drivers?

      Buy a new video card. You can get one good enough to run sm for like 15 bucks o_O Or just go out and buy a good one that will last you, for more of course, but it will make gameplay alot better.

      What kind of video card is this? o_O You can run sm on like a voodoo 1 which is like 6 years old. lol

          Its an NVidia Vanta, and its a piece of crap. The updated drivers should work though, if I can just get them running.

              Yea, but if it can't run sm, it has to be f ucking ANCIENT, and you're not going to be able to run any other games either. If you like games, you need a new one.

              Anything available at a pc shop would be good enough, even cheap ones.

              If you really wanna keep that...well, i have no idea how to fix your problem maybe 2000 didn't exist when they made the card and its so outdated you can't update the drivers. rofl.

                  Well, I tried to run SM, but it said it couldn't initialise the OpenGL component or something like that. I'll post the exact error when I get home. Maybe it isn't a hardware issue *hopes*

                      Here is the exact message I'm getting when I try to load SM:

                      There was an error while initializing your video card.

                      PLEASE DO NOT FILE THIS ERROR AS A BUG!

                      Video Driver: NVidia Vanta

                      Initializing OpenGL...
                      Your system is reporting that OpenGL hardware acceleration is not available. Please obtain an updated driver from your video card manufacturer.

                      Your system is reporting that Direct3D hardware acceleration is not available. Please obtain an updated driver from your video card manufacturer.
                      **************************
                      As a side-note, the driver I downloaded was incompatible with 2000, so that was a royal waste of time
