SM-SSC Crash and Other Stepping Error

First: Whenever I go to change song options the game crashes (so I can't change my speed mod which is really annoying).

Second: Every time I try to step a song the game says it's in read only format.

I would like help on how to fix this issue.

Everyday I'm shufflin'

don't install the game into program files.
