    Theme folders locked

I have asked this question on the StepMania forums, but I can't seem to get any kind of reply. This seems like a simple question, I was wondering if you guys had any idea:

I've always had a hard time with themes. Some of them would work like a charm, while some of them simply refuse to work.

I've realized it might have something to do with file permission.

When I open any folder inside of a "dysfunctional" theme, I get this message. I believe the reason Stepmania can't make the theme work is because it doesn't have permission to open these folders as well. Any theme from k//eternal, from example, seems to work because these folders can be opened without a problem.

Does it have something to do with the .smzip format? I download most of my themes from stepmaniathings.com (which are always in a .smzip format) and I always change the format to .zip by renaming it and extract the folder normally since Smzip-extractor doesn't work on Mac... Is this what causes this error to appear? Can I remove it by any mean?

    Re: Theme folders locked

I would be able to help a lot more if I had a mac or if you were using windows, but this problem happened to me a few times on windows. I had to uncheck "read only" in the file's properties. I don't know if you can do the same, but I hope I helped.

      EDIT: THY PROBLEM IS SOLVED.

I've searched around google and finally came across this page which did the trick for me. If anybody is experiencing this problem in the future, please follow these steps:

"The easiest way I've found to fix this problem is to highlight the folder you can't gain access to, right-click the folder and choose Get Info. Now at the very bottom you should see a section titled Sharing & Permissions. Expand this out and click the lock in the lower right. This will prompt you for the admin password and should unlock. Once unlocked click the + sign and add yourself. Then change your permissions from read only to read/write.

That should fix the permissions problem and allow you into the folders. Do note that some subfolders may also need to have their permissions adjusted."

      -------------------------

Umm, I've tried to do that. The option has never been set to "ON", so I guess this is not the problem.

In fact, I've come across something even weirder. The size of every folder is actually 0 kb, meaning they all contain... nothing. 0_o

Here's what the "get info" looks like for every folder:
