Black/null background

Is there an easy way to get this except for removing EVERY background from my songs folder? Some backgrounds are just too much and make it basically impossible to see wtf im hitting. That's one of the reasons I like FFR, aside from p4u, etc.

um go into you options then go to background options and turn the brightness down to 0%

Something like Options -> Background Options -> Brightness = 0%

Alternative answer to this question would be to change the Stepmania fallback graphic to an all-black background.
