My fingers only bleed when I cut them way too short to where it hurts. Try not cutting them as short as you normally do, see if that helps.

I play even with my fingernails long or short really. I've been using my nails to play SM for a while now, I don't have any bleeding whatsoever.

if you're bleeding playing sm it usually means you're keysmashing too hard/doing it wrong

Only happens if I cut my nails in too deep (and everyone knows how hard I tap my keyboard, lmao).

I play with gel nails so I'm usually hitting with the flat of my finger.

Try cutting them a little less short? I always cut my nails before playing and haven't had this problem.

It hurts a lot more but no I've never had my fingers bleed. That's on Index and spread. And trust me mine are cut hella short.

                    No?

This is a problem I've never heard of. I think you curve your fingers a bit more when you play, so it'd affect you more. I've seen that some players play with their hands at different angles, depending on what works for them. So it's understandable.

If you're bleeding, chances are that you're cutting them too short. But I also see a big difference in playing when I cut my nails. I seem to do a lot worse after cutting them.

My fingernails have never bled ever. Don't cut them too short.
