Need help with my keyboard

I have some problem with the delay of my keyboard since I reinstalled windows on my computer.
When I press a button when I play a simfile on Stepmania (3.9), the delay is enough long to make me get more perfects than marvelouses. Any idea on how to fix that ?

Some precisions :
- I use a Razer Lycosa with its driver
- I don't have that delay on any other application (I tried FFR and it's perfectly fine, I also tried SM 3.9a, the time difference was smaller but I had still some problems with the accuracy)

sounds like a global offset problem. go to the folder where you installed stepmania and open up your stepmania.ini in notepad. find global offset and adjust accordingly

The global offset is on 0.0
But my problem isn't really about the sync between the files and the songs. Because everything is still synced.

But the time response between stepmania and my keyboard is really not correct.

might be compatibility issues i guess. what version of windows are you running?

Windows XP. But I always used this OS and it's the first time I have an issue with Stepmania.
I would try with another keyboard but I don't have one atm.

maybe you forgot to install graphic drivers or you have the wrong ones

Uh probably, I changed my graphic cards but why would it be the thing that mess my Stepmania up ?

Also I remarked when using 3.9, when the computer temporary slow down for whatever reason, it does some odd distortion in the scroll.

hmm weird. dont know what to say other than make sure you upgrade your video drivers and change the graphics API in the smpackage from default to openLG or direct 3D i forget which one. and while you're there change the sound to waveout

The problem is I already have the last version of the driver needed for my card.
I'll see for the settings of the smpackage

Ok well. I changed the graphics API twice and there's still that problem with the accuracy. Even on judge 3, I can clearly state that the delay is still crappy.

Ok so, looks like my accuracy problem is half cured. I still have a slightly discreet problem : it happens sometimes that stepmania records some keytaps with a retarded delay. (aka enough to transform a perfect into a great or to totally miss the note) I can live with that, but scoring is made barely impossible with it.

Oh also, when I put the assist tick, it's perfectly synced with the song and the graphics so it's clear that the problem isn't my graphic card anymore. The problem with the "scroll distortion" is also cured
