when i download a sim file what folder do i put it in in the stepmania program folder to make it play on stepmania.

You will need to access the "songs" folder of stepmania.
C:\Program Files\StepMania\Songs(as stated above)
then in that folder create a new folder(was not stated above)
once you have created a new folder, you can drag and drop the downloaded sim files into that new folder. This folder will contain all your songs, you may make more folders like this one, just to stay organize genre speaking.

also for vhelfer, be sure the song folder is unzipped.
