Anyway, I agree with Guru's OP. He tried to get me into SM and I was like, uhm, no. But the more I tried it, the more time I put into it of constant playing, I realized the effects of it. It greatly helped me improve FFR. I went from having 300 AAA's about 3 months ago to having damn near 550 now. My average rank went from 195 to 37.6 now. I have greatly improved. I would tell everyone to head Guru's word here if they do want to get better. I'm not saying SM is the ONLY way to get better, as playing FFR consistently will as well help, but it IS a huge factor as well. Not only is it beneficial for your gameplays, but it's also a fun experience.

If people can see how much this helps then I can assure that almost anyone who tries this would be able to at least tell the gap difference between then and now. This is not an attempt to get players to quit FFR and start playing SM but it is a helpful tool if you want to achieve those "impossible" goals.

Yeah, exactly what krunky said. Also, Guru, you should add the exact steps to get into SMO because that's always fun & a lot of people don't know how to do it. Also, if you'd like Guru I could give you the Mac link for 3.95 for SMO so you can put that up on the OP for the Mac users.

Great idea Vanilla, as a matter of fact I was just thinking about adding the SMO feature to the OP after someone asked if it were possible to do multiplayer on stepmania. This isn't anything serious I just want people to have fun.

I remember when you first started out on stepmania we had about the same MA but then time passed and you gradually became more adjusted to the timing and now everytime we'd play on SMO you'd always wreck with crazy insane scores! No joke, you could actually feel yourself getting better you gained more stamina, more endurance, more skill am I right?

I still can't do 16th trills at 300 BPM lol but who knows? I could probably do it in the near future. I am still currently getting better at SM :P

stepmania was always the better game fun wise. ffr is more competitive cuz of stats, ranks and whoring high scores etc. more creativity in sm. and without sm, there is no ffr.

What i hate with SM is : There is NO competition. With FFR, we can play to improve your stat, made an average rank, FC rank, overall rank. There's a top 100 of AAA, there's Tiers point. Its made the game better than SM, IMO ( and on certain point).

By the way, i like SM, but i don't know what to play. I have lots of pack, but...I usually play Hard ****, but thats gay after long time lol. Some one know a REALLY good pack, a pack with song you can FC without being EAG or Dossar and/or PA it. So, any recommandation?

There is a ****ton of competition. There are quite a few of us all around the same skill level posting and supping each other. The songs are much more geared toward competition.

Stepmania is a far superior and much more fun game, but coming from guru this thread is lol
