Need help with several things on SM

Yeah, so...

I'm ENTIRELY new to the whole stepmania thing, and already it's seeming like such a hassle. Ive been told for nearly a month now by other players to start stepmania training if i'm serious about improving. There are a bunch of stuff I'm having trouble with that I was hoping some of you experienced players could help with..

-I can't find any songs/song packs that match the difficulty of where I'm at in terms of skill and comfort. Most of the songs I downloaded were way too difficult, even on light. Can anyone provide a bunch of song packs that will help me progress? (I'm playing at a D/VD/C level atm.

-I'm also having trouble setting up mods in SM 3.9. I was able to change the keyboard controls but that's about it. Is there any way I could modify scrolling speed near the same as 1.75 on here? Other than speed, I'm having trouble with figuring out how to rid of backgrounds, center my arrows rather than having them aligned on the left and most importantly changing my noteskin. (I found the pack, just confused on how to implement it)

If anyone could help, it would be nice >_<

I think some good song packs for you would be itg.

under gameplay options turn solo singles to on. This will put the notes in the middle of the screen.

to turn off the backgrounds just go to background options and turn mode to off.

go here to learn about changing your speed mods to something you want.

Assuming the noteskin you downloaded is for 3.9 all you need to do is extract it and place the folder inside the noteskins folder in stepmania.
