Need stepmania help

Ok so I wanna get back into SM and such, but when I play theres a few things wrong.
I try to use cmods but it gives me an error whenever I try to select that cmod in the speed selection part of the menu. It says it's missing in the metrics. I go check and it's there and coded just fine. Help?

Another thing I need help with is whenever I start a song, the start of it is all choppy and eventually smooths out, but I don't like it being choppy at all. Is there anyway I can fix this?

i dont know about the cmod. all i can say is make sure you capitalized the C and to double check the language and theme metrics

as for the choppiness that happens to me on 3.95 but not 3.9. if you plan on using 3.9 the use smpackage to change the video settings

I'd say that if you are having trouble, just re-download and re-install.
