I can't find the song I placed in the songs folder that I'm trying to step when I go to the edit songs in stepmania I just cant find it?

Is your song directly in the \Songs folder? You need to put all your songs into another folder within the \Songs folder in order for Stepmania to read them.
Ex. \Songs\[Put a folder name here]\[Your stepfile]

Go to options and re-load the songs/courses. That will put it in.
