Dancing Characters on StepMania

I'm probaly not the only one with this problem but I want to get dancing characters on StepMania. My younger brother and I have been working on obtaining one. He downloaded a Sailor Moon one [crazy boi..] and we've been trying to get it in. All the program says is Characters: Off

Am I putting it into the wrong folder? Could anyone POSSIBLY help me?

Oi.. Now I have it to the point where I can select the character but theres always an error -.- Does anyone have a site where I can download the characters from?

On savageddr in the characters section there is a file that it says you need for the characters to work. Next to a flashing pink thing(it's right at the topof the downloads) there is a download that says Necessary Bones Files needed to use characters. My characters wouldn't work either but I downloaded the Bones thing and now they work perfectly. Watch out. I may be wrong but I think the characters UhLaLa fron space channel1 5 have errors. Also, if you have BitTorrent, towards the bottom of the page on ddramerica.com there is a characters download I got that and I got around 30 or 40 characters. It downloads quick so after its done stay on the internet because you have to open the characters wherever you saved it to and then it will start downloading. If your internet is as slow as mine it should take about 45 minutes. Then you just have to install it. 8)
