Noteskins for SM 4.0

Has anyone done a port of the default noteskins from Stepmania 3.9 to SM 4.0? The 4.0 default noteskins are really ugly The ones I found at the Stepmania forums had either super-saturated colors or used different shapes, and I couldn't concentrate as well using them.

What I'm looking for is an arrow with defined edges that is easy on the eyes (no crazy neon colors). Even something similar to the ffr skins would be perfect

why don't you just use 3.9 or 3.95?

they are better than 4.0 anyway

I use 4.0 because it has widescreen support. Since 3.95 supports widescreen, I might switch. Why do I have to uninstall 4.0 to install 3.5? I *just* got situated with it!

uhh... 4.0 uses a new theming system .LUA
while 3.95 uses .XML
3.95 ITG noteskins don't animate using D3D (unless 2D)
4.0 ITG noteskins work both with D3D and OGL
4.0 is still in its early stage. CVS will no longer be used
as the stepmania dev. team will use an entire new built called SVN
which has WAY more freedom than 3.95 will EVER have
4.0 supports rolls
the negative stops and bpm is a bug in 3.95/3.9 which was fixed in 4.0

There is one little factor that everyone in this thread seems to be overlooking: Why not live with both? There is a reason why the AdditionalSongFolders field found in one of the data files of the installation is so useful. Any number of installations that you have (whether it be 3.9, 3.9+, 3.95, 4.0, 99.99 super version gaiden, etc.) would point at the same set of simfiles. Each version has its own advantages, and its own disadvantages. 3.9/+/5 has warp 'support', but a bit less graphical functionality. 4.0 has more graphical functionality, but different than what many are used to.

(Don't get me started on my thoughts about negative bpm/stops.)
