does that make me a nob, it helps my scoars alot. is it frowned upon in the SM community to use it? because it helps me keep tempo easier. im just asking cause i just started using it today and it helps alot and i just recently got SM a few weeks ago.

It's not considered cheating, no. Some people find it helpful, most don't. If it works for you then keep at it.

I only used it to get used to the timing windows.
I use assist tick at times. but it doesn't make you a "noob"
i know some SM pros that use assist tick in some songs.

I watched a video of Swedish Izzy getting a AAAAA on Uber Rave with assist tick. It's not really a strategy many people employ, but certainly there is nothing wrong with it.

It's not frowned upon; I personally find it ****s me over more than anything. Someone who can do better with assist tick? Kudos to them.
