Stepmania help plz

Well I haven't played step mania since I was on my XP comp and I just downloaded it for my vista one. The problem is when i try to change the speed the metrics wont save and it says it cant create the file or something. This never happened to me on XP so I'm thinking its vista or I'm just an idiot.

This problem is caused when you have UAC enabled. You can either do one of the following to fix the problem:

- Turn off UAC through your Control Panel
OR
- Cut and paste the .ini file somewhere else outside of the program files folder (e.g. My Documents, Desktop, etc.). From there, make any necessary changes and save and just move it back to the original location.

User Account Control.

If you don't know how to disable it, do the 2nd method.
