I Just Discovered SM

I've been playing FFR for more than a few years, and just downloaded SM.
IT IS FUN!
I really enjoy it, and if anybody has suggestions of extra things that would make it even more enjoyable, just tell me!

Take music from your computer that you like, convert them to MP3's, if they aren't MP3's already, and make your own steps.

And if they're good, upload it to FFR's simfile database so everyone can play them.

Thanks guys! I was trying to figure out where the stepfiles come from, but now I see that its from sm...
And yes If I do make them, I will definetly upload them.

Im trying to grab step files off of the FFR simfile database, but they are compressed zip files (i think). Those cant be used in Stepmania. How do I convert them or otherwise make them playable in Stepmania? I dont care if it changes it to .sm (which i think has to be done) or it some other random method. It just has to be free and not too time consuming.

I recommend using this noteskin. If you can nail down reading hard patterns with this noteskin, it will make it easier to read the hard patterns on FFR. That is just my opinion though. Other than that just download song packs and play tons of songs and have fun.

If you want to make stepfiles you can go to the Edit/Sync song option on the SM menu.

are you serious? who hasnt heard of winzip or winrar? (which I think everyone should get which would stop the endless complaining of "MAKE IT ZIP NOOB")
You open it with winzip or winrar, and you extract the files from the archive into your songs folders.
