    Need a music editing program

I'm putting together a 'remix' of instrumental segments from a band, doing lots of possibly tiny cuts of segments to make perfect transitions and such. So I need a program that can do this. When I'm finished, I will use it to properly step the song by looking at segments and even slowing the song down. I want it to be able to slowdown/speedup the song.

    Suggestions?

Goldwave? It's free, but I'm not sure if it can do everything you want it to. You could try it though.

A few off the top of my head...

      Free:
      Wavosaur
      Audacity
      Goldwave
      Sony Soundforge

      Not Free:
      Adobe Audition

Most DAWs can do some heavy editing as well, so look through those too if you want to; here's a list: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=52685

This probably belongs in Musician's Jungle Gum.

not sure if i spelled it coreectly but google fixes spelling problems for retards like me

anyway you just highlight the part you wanted to slow down and make the bpm what ever you want.

Maybe, I figured I'd ask here because it had to do with stepping and thought some of you may do this as well.
