    Displaying a fake BPM

Is it possible to design an SM (and/or DWI) to display a BPM or BPM range that isn't the acutal BPM or BPM range, and if so, how do you do it?

    Thanks

At the header of the DWI:

    #DISPLAYBPM:XXX.xxx; for whatever.
    #DISPLAYBPM:XXX.xxx-YYY.yyy; for a range.
    #DISPLAYBPM:*; for random numbers.

I don't believe you can do this in SM code.

you could always just throw in bpm changes in the song at the very beginning where there is no arrows or during a hold or something

Makaveli, your idea is good, except I'm trying to shrink the range

displaying the wrong bpm is just stupid.
all it will do is make people annoyed with you and not want to play your stepfiles anymore.
displaying no bpm (as does LOM) is one thing, but what you're talking about is just an asshole maneuver.
Reach: there was this bee. i hate bee\'s...i tryed to kill it, but then it didn\'t die and it started making weird noises so i was like oh (#$% hes gonna sting me. i started running but i triped over some rock and rolled down a hill into the river.

yeah you want to do it like an extra stage...many songs show a fake bpm, like over the rave by evilbean shows like 300+ bpm i think and thats during a hold, the song is at 160 or bpm the whole time relatively
