    Download Problems

I'm just starting to play SM, so I went to a thread or two that had packs to download. Some of the files are .rar files, and these will not download correctly for me. If I "save to disc", it saves to my desktop and upon trying to open, there is some error. If I "Open with: StepMania3.9(Default)" it will randomly stop, say there was an error, and advise me to "save to disc" first. Any help?

    Re: Download Problems

WinRAR provides the full RAR and ZIP file support, can decompress CAB, GZIP and other archive formats

.rar is a type of .zip pretty much, just much better.
Just download the trial version, it lasts forever, you'll get a notice everytime you open it though saying your trial has ended, 40 days blah blah, but it doesn't matter, you can still use it.

use that to extract the files from the .rar, then the unzipped folder go in C:/Program files/Stepmania/Songs/(Any Folder)/

Alright, so I just need the program that deals with .rar files then?

Yep, download and install and you're good to go.

Link straight to the download: http://www.rarlabs.com/rar/wrar371.exe

Awesome, thanks a bunch... Now that I think about it, that makes total sense. I've just never worked with .rar files before, whatever. I'm off to download some packs!
