sm file help

when i make an edit in stepmania to put on my card and go play on an r21 machine, i save it and go into the .sm file to copy the steps, but they arent there!

but i can still play the steps in stepmania, so its like it saves them to the stepmania program itself instead of the .sm file.

how do i make the steps show up so i can put them on my card?

Make sure the machine has Custom Songs enabled.

it does, but i cant play them if i cant find the steps to put on my card first. maybe its vista's fault cuz vista sucks at everything
