Help with stepfiles

After taking awhile to make a song on stepmania, i finally finished and now i just want to add a few small things.

First; how do you add background pictures? And is there a menu somewhere that let's you change the info about the song? All I could find was a song title/author menu.

Secondly; how would i distribute the song, and where? I found out how to export the song using the package exporter and send some to my friends, but that's about it.

1) Add a 640x480 picture to your folder and name it something like 'picture-bg'. As long as it has bg somewhere in it, SM will read it as the background picture. Meter and song description could be changed under 'Edit Steps Statistics' in the Main Menu of the song editor.

2) You could use FFR's simfile database if you want. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/sims/upload.php

I've seen the Meter option before, it goes up to 15 but i have no idea what it means.

Also, do i upload the file in it's .smzip format?

Meter is the difficulty of the song. I'm not sure of any other places to change the song info.

Most people just put the files in a regular .zip file, but it would still work if you uploaded it as .smzip.

Hmm, i've tried giving the song a backround picture, but it seems to be really douche-baggery. I've double checked to see that it's 640x480, has "bg" in the file name, and it's in the folder of the song. Is there anything i'm missing? (it's in .jpeg format btw)

Also, after i'm done with this, i'm pretty much done and i can upload it. 'Cause, ya know, you're just dying to play this now that you've helped so much now, right? Haha.
